Before we start giving you more information about silicone for Life Cast, we want to give you a little warning for your safety. Although these products are formulated to get on top of the skin and be in contact with it, it is always important to do an allergy test before, just in case the model has an allergy to a specific component.

The mold on natural is also known as Life Casting, and the most used material for it is silicone. The good thing about silicone is that it is not a temporary mold material, but you can take reproductions in any type of material either more rigid or sensitive and you can make many reproductions of a single mold.
The silicone for Life Cast is especially suitable for the skin, since it is a platinum silicone. In addition, it does not stick to body hair and can be applied on the face as well: eyelashes, eyebrows ... without risk of sticking.
The important thing about this silicone is that it has two components: part A and part B. These components are a bit viscous and this is good when it comes to not slipping so much on the model, especially if you work the part of the face. You have to put the same amount of the different components.
The silicone mold for Life Cast needs a countermold, which from Feroca we recommend that it be plaster so that when applying the copy it is not deformed and is perfect.
Once you have the same amount of the different components you have to pour on each other with a depressant or wooden spatula. The material must be wood, since platinum silicones cannot be in contact with certain materials such as metal, latex, polyester ...

Once you have the mixture prepared you have to apply the product on the skin and at the moment in which it is biting (that is, when you touch it and it is sticky, but it does not stain) it is the ideal time to add the plaster bandages and thus manufacture the countermold that we have previously said that you would need when making all the reproductions you want.

When making the mold it is advisable to take a small amount and extend it very well so that it registers and penetrates well through all the holes. The main thing is that with a little product you can give it the right shape. You can apply the mixture on the skin either with your hand or with a depressant.
A tip that we will give you from Feroca is that if you are going to apply it on a person, the product is not too cold so that the skin does not goosebumps.
Once you have applied the whole product well you will have to wait about 20 minutes for the silicone to be ready and you can remove it. It is not necessary to use release agent, since it is a silicone that peels off very easily and if it is put release agent what it does is that it loses the ability to record the details of the skin, so that the silicone mold for reproductions will not come out so precise.
