Castilene is a professional modeling compound that behaves like a clay when modeling, but that works and looks like a wax.
You won't need to make a frame as the Castilene holds tightly. It weighs 40% less than all other professional modeling clays.
Starting work with Castilene:
It can be softened with different methods, such as heat lamps, hot boxes, beheaders, clay pots, microwaves and even water bath. DO NOT USE DIRECT CALL. Avoid heating above 80oC or air bubbles will come out. Above 80oC Castilene can be melted and used in casting. The strength and lightness of the Castilene allows sculpting without the use of a frame in most cases.
Polishing and finishing methods: You can use wax-compatible polishing products and you can also make silicone molds without a problem as Castilene does not contain sulfur. Castilene can also be used for lost wax processes in cast iron.
