- Low viscosity. Great transparency.
- Perfect for Jewelry.
- Easy bubble removal.
- Great transparency.
- Very good UV resistance.
- Rapid version of the Translux D150
UTILIZATION
Mix the resin and hardener with the ratio 2 parts of A to 1 part B by weight. Mix until you get a perfect homogeneity. It is possible that during mixing, a certain yellow hue may appear but the material will become colorless as it polymerizes.
To be a transparent epoxy resin, the Tranlux D151 is considerably fast and in less than 24 hours at room temperature the part will be ready to demold. In thin thicknesses of less than 2mm the times can be lengthened.
Ideal for occlusions, jewelry, transparent effects on furniture, etc.
Remember that it is characteristic of this resin that at low temperatures its viscosity increases, even producing a granulated effect, similar to what happens with olive oil or honey. This does not mean that the resin has degraded, but it cannot be used in this state since the catalyst would not react with these balls and whitish areas would appear without catalyzing. As in the previous cases, the effect disappears by bringing the product closer to a heat source (radiator) or subjecting it to the "bain-marie" and waiting until the resin cools and recovers the temperature of use, between 20 and 25ºC
FEATURES:
-UV resistant
-Excellent fluidity, which minimizes the appearance of bubbles.
-The use in layers is recommended in the case of thick and large pieces.
-Hardness: 100 shore A - (Measured after curing 16 hours at 60ºC.)
-Curing Time - 24 hours at 25ºC. About 10 hours if we bring the resin closer to a heat source (radiator)
MIXING IN VOLUME:
-2 parts translux D150A
-1 part of TRANSLUX D151B
APPROXIMATE CONSUMPTION:
- 1 Kg per m2 for 1mm layer.
