Jesmonite Thixotrope is added to the mixture to thicken the material until it acquires a gel coat consistency. This is very useful when using brush or spray to apply materials to molds with vertical faces, since it prevents the material from sliding down.
Thixotropics are added to the mixture after base and mixed using the high shear mixing shovel.
Add drop by drop until the desired consistency is obtained. The typical inclusion rates by weight are between 2gr and 6gr for each kilo of mixture.
