Formulated specifically for molding into plaster molds, the RD-407 Mask Making Latex is a unique component, composed of natural air-drying latex, widely used by mask manufacturers worldwide. Popular with many special effects artists, the RD-407 can be brushed or poured into plaster molds.
It has a quick build-up of the skin, excellent reproduction of details and rapid demolding. The RD-407 can be painted with Monster Makers Mask Paints.
The RD-407 Latex comes as a naturally viscous material that produces a rubber band but durable when curing. While other brands sell products they call RD-407, this is the official formulation of the RD-407trademark, originally sold by R&D Latex Company in Commerce, California: a recipe that is now more than 50 years old!
RD 407 Bat Black: is a pre-colored black latex that incorporates the same black pigment that Monster Makers provided for the feature film,"Batman Begins",starring Christian Bale. Bat Black is a highly pigmented rubber that saves time and costs for painting and pigmenting.
