New Key-Pigments for Silicone.
Created by Neill Gorton, this realistic color system comprises highly concentrated silicone pigments in custom colors that traverse a wide tonal spectrum. They will save you time and money and help you maintain perfect continuity in lots of color.
Neill originally developed these pigments for Millennium FX for use in his prosthetics. The four base colors have been set by trial and error over the years as the ideal starting point for most prosthetics, and nine out of ten will work perfectly as a base tone. However, if it's not close enough, you've added two 'adjuster' colors: red iron oxide and yellow ochre, which will usually allow you to easily adjust one of the four base tones to match most skin types.
Neill says ...
"From the execution of thousands of prosthetic pieces in recent years I have refined my pigments to these four standard colors that adapt to the vast majority of skin tones. Even if one of these is not an exact match, you will only need the slightest adjustment to make a perfect combination.
Having been dissatisfied with ready-to-use products as base skin tones, I mixed these colors and used them throughout my work ever since. All our ready-to-use prostheses in MFX Warehouse are produced in these colors and most of the prostheses we manufacture in that range can be manufactured in one of the colors without adjustment.
Along with the four skin tones there are two adjusting colors, a yellow ochre and red iron oxide. This basic system means that it can produce perfect skin tones for prosthetics and body parts and can also be used in conjunction with directly applied silicone products, such as Sculpt Gel, to give them the desired color.
Now I'm making these pigments available to the public and I've made a specialist manufacturer copy my mixture and produce these four shades of standard base Flesh."
