
TinSil's 80 Series Silicone Rubbers are two-component room temperature curing (RTV) rubbers. Silicone TinSil uses a tin catalyst (condensation) and cures until a flexible rubber of medium and soft hardness is obtained. These silicones offer reduced shrinkage during curing and during casting, longer service life once cured, and longer mold life than other tin-cured systems.
Molds made of TinSil rubber have high tear resistance, good release properties, high temperature resistance, and excellent chemical resistance. These molds are an excellent choice for cast pieces in polyester, epoxy, polyurethane, polyurethane foams, plaster, waxes and many other materials.
SiliconeTinSil is very easy to use, and is available in two different hardnesses, the TinSil 80-15 or the TinSil 80-30 whose characteristics you can compare in this table:
