JOHN VILLA'S WEEK-LONG COURSE

Specialized intensive hands-on course. Sculpture techniques, props, molds, replicas, props, Cosplay...

One-week course (5 days) of limited duration to 15 places. July 3-7, 2017.

Full days from 10:00 to 20:00 hours.

The course is 700 euros (VAT and food included),a payment of 50% will be made when booking the place and the remaining 50% in the same course.

With this course and by the hand of Juan Villa,creator of effects and prop in Fourth Millennium,you will learn and delve into techniques of modeling, molding and reproduction. With special interest in new materials and realistic finishing techniques. Ideal for making muppets, prop, sculpture, emptying, cosplay...!!

We tell you everything! Where do you buy it, how do you do it? tricks, problems ...!!!

We will eat students and teachers together, in this way we take better advantage of the time and continue to talk about the course and the projects that each student has.

MODELING AND SIZE:

-Today we dedicate the day to all products and modeling techniques from mud textures, professional clays with texture, tricks and techniques or direct carvings in polystyrene with finishes including projection of Styrocoat to cold gun.

-How to assemble modeling structures and which systems we can use.

-We will prepare two modeling one in clay and one in professional clay.

Molds:

-Rigid and flexible molds, silicone types,(tin vs. platinum).

-We will see alginates and other special products for lifecast.

-Gel coat and polyurethane molds.

-We see how copies can be made in clay to retouch the original.

-We will mold one of the modeled figures the day before.

COPIES IN FLEXIBLE MATERIALS:

-We will see everyone from latex and draw a copy of our modeling in latex and flexible polyurethane foam.

-Silicone as copy material : hyper-realistic sculptures. We will work with the Dragon Skin and see various options.

RESIN COPIES:

-The world of resins thoroughly:polyester, polyurethanes, epoxy,acrylics...

-We will see a multitude of options ofloads, thickeners, and demolding agents.

-We will use the vacuum hood and see how it is fundamental at the professional level.

-Reinforcement fibers :how, where and why to use them.

FINISHES AND 3D WORLD:

-Painted: session dedicated to the finishing and patina of the various exercises performed.

-Imitation to wood, bronze,stone, bone...

-Practical finish in hyper-realistic silicone: paint on silicone.

-We will also see how to paint on latex.

-3D printing technology. We will see our printer running and discuss all the options to consider for replicas or upgrades.

The WorkShops of Feroca will be taught at the headquarters of Feroca in Fuenlabrada, a town near Madrid, at the following address:

We have a large free parking where students can leave their cars.

BY CAR:

  1. The best way to get there by car on the A-42 and take exit 17 (Service Route. Industrial polygons)
  2. Then take the detour to the right that indicates "Cantueña Industrial Park"
  3. At the roundabout take the second exit (Avda. de la Industria)
  4. Next straight roundabout (Industry Avda.)
  5. Last roundabout on the right and you are already on Calle Sierra Elvira.

TIPS: The Masterclass is taught in a classroom enabled in an industrial ship. We always try to condition the space to make the temperature pleasant, but it is advisable to bring shoes and clothes suitable to the temperature of the day, comfortable and suitable to work in a workshop.
